Tech-noooo!

-

ROBBIE Williams has no mobile and says he shuns social media because he can’t be trusted not to get into trouble using it.

As we told yesterday, the singer ditched his phone 13 years ago because he hated it so much.

But Robbie’s not the only celeb to shun modern technology, as NADINE LINGE reveals…

EMMA STONE: The La La Land actress isn’t on Twitter or Instagram because she hates how fake people can be. She said: “It makes me so crazy to look at social media. When you see people like: ‘This is the best life ever! I couldn’t be happier,’ you’re like: ‘Shut up, that is not true.’”

JENNIFER LAWRENCE: The Oscar-winner admits to being a technophobe. She said: “I’m not very good on phones or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails, so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me.”

SIMON COWELL: Last year, the X Factor supremo revealed he had successfully given up his mobile phone to boost his mental health and happiness. He said: “The thing I get irritated with is when you have a meeting everyone’s on their phone – and I was probably in that place too. You can’t concentrate.”

SIR IAN McKELLEN: He might have played Magneto in one of the biggest sci-fi franchises, but X-Men actor Sir Ian prefers not to have a mobile phone and has never downloaded an app in his life. That’s despite him having his own app which lets fans listen to him reading Shakespeare plays aloud.

CHRISTOPHER WALKEN: The Pulp Fiction actor doesn’t have a computer or mobile phone, and his agent has to contact him by fax. When he’s filming,

producers have to give him a phone so they can reach him – but he always gives it back afterwards.

GEORGE CLOONEY: Never expect a “like” from this actor. He once said: “I’d rather have a rectal examination on live TV by a fellow with cold hands than have a Facebook page.” He also said anyone famous is a “moron” if they are on Twitter. CHRIS PINE: Star Trek’s Captain Kirk boldy ditched his smart phone for an old-fashioned flip version. He also listens to music on a record player rather than streaming, saying: “I just like the simple. I don’t want to be connected so much.” EDDIE REDMAYNE: The Fantastic Beasts star swapped his iPhone for a simpler model after realising he was getting obsessed. He said he was “glued permanently” to it during the day. SIR ELTON JOHN: Rocketman admitted in 2016 he doesn’t own a mobile but he does have an iPad to Skype with his kids when he’s away. His husband David Furnish manages his Instagram and Sir Elton also has office staff to look after his emails.

SANDRA BULLOCK: You won’t catch this actress taking 100 shots to get the perfect selfie as she thinks it’s too fake. She said: “Like when you’re yelling at your child, you’re not taking a selfie of you being a horrible parent. No, you’re waiting for the perfect selfie. ‘Do I look thinner now?’ ‘Do I look great?’”
