KELVIN: MY GUILT TRIP Champ’s holiday to make up for missing family

STRICTLY champion Kelvin Fletcher is heading off on a “guilt trip” following his triumph.

The ex-Emmerdale star is whisking his wife and children away to make up for the three months he has spent away while training for the BBC show.

Determined Kelvin was so eager to be the best dancer, he missed his fourth wedding anniversary to Liz.

He was also absent for son Milo’s first birthday in Manchester as he worked with professional partner Oti Mabuse in London.

But after being crowned on Saturday in front of a peak of 12.5million viewers, he said: “The first thing I am going to do is I’m going to cuddle my wife and take stock.

“I’m going on holiday next week, just to get away for a few days. I have felt a little bit guilty being away from them – my children – just to see them and hold them.”

Kelvin, 35, beat EastEnder Emma Barton and Anton du Beke and children’s TV host Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden.

Meanwhile, angry viewers told how they had trouble voting as fans overloaded Strictly’s website. ★

STRICTLY’S “dad dancer” Mike Bushell clearly had a ballroom blitz at the show’s wrap party.

He looked bleary-eyed, left, when he emerged from the celebration in the early hours following the series finale won by Kelvin Fletcher.

All the celebrities from this year’s show and their pro dancers joined backroom staff including make-up artist Lisa Armstrong, right – Ant McPartlin’s ex – at the boozy bash.

The singer left school at

Speaking ahead of the first of his band’s three

“I was talking about it with Ali from UB40 because they came from a rough part of Birmingham and it was music and their friendship that saved them.

“It was the same for

Madness. There weren’t very many ways I was going to get out of that situation.”

He added: “We will only retire when we can’t sell tickets! We will have a never-ending last tour.

“As long as we are enjoying it, which we I don’t see it in foreseeable future.” it still do, the
