PAMPERED pooches had a Yappy Christmas party with a slap-up festive meal, and there wasn’t even a dogfight!

Sainsbury’s invited customers to a delicious silver service canine-friendly feast for their furry friends while raising cash for Guide Dogs.

The Santa Paws Dinner last weekend saw 150 pooches and 300 people enjoy family fun at a three-day pop-up restaurant in central London.

Research by the store found a massive 75% of us would rather eat Christmas dinner with our dog than our mother-in-law.

This highlighte­d Brits’ desire to include canine companions in celebratio­ns and the supermarke­t wanted to help spread seasonal cheer.

● 34% of owners buy will more gifts for their dogs than anyone else festive decoration­s and fine dining. Dogs were lavished with top service and were presented with a delicious feast of turkey and all the trimmings topped off with a mince pie.

Owners weren’t left out either, enjoying the supermarke­t’s range of Christmas sandwiches and glasses of bubbly.
