You’ve always hated Meghan Markle because she’s black. And a woman. Oh, and she’s stolen Harry away from us.
We’re going into a meltdown about an American actress who has not only proven to have hidden shallows but also the talent to turn the “prince” she found lurking there into a frog.
I don’t give a damn if I ever see the Ginger Whinger and Little Miss Sparkle again. They’ve already disappeared up their own backsides so Canada shouldn’t be much of a shock.
BUT, three things. One, I don’t think this pair of spoilt idiots should get a penny more off us. Between them they’ve got £34million in the bank. That might be a struggle when you’ve got Nazi uniforms to dry-clean but I’m sure they’ll manage.
Nor should they keep their royal titles. The Queen referred to them as Harry and Meghan in her statement after the Sandringham summit. I mean, have they ever even spent more than an hour in Sussex?
Three, and this is the real killer, it’s appalling how the entire UK has been made out to be a nation of racist bigots who have bullied Meghan out of the country because of the colour of her skin. To borrow the words of Greta Thunberg, how dare they?
We are not to blame for this mess. We wanted it to work. Compared to Waity Katie, feisty, independent Meghan was a breath of fresh air.
They could have done so much for so many people – witness Meghan’s work with Grenfell victims – especially relieving the more elderly members of the Royal Firm from duties they have loyally carried out for decades.
But in the space of two short years, it went from serving Queen and country to serving themselves.
Hearing them talking about simply surviving rather than thriving on their South African trip told you all you needed to know. How you can wallow in your own self-pity surrounded by little kids who have had limbs blown off?
And to not bother telling any of your close family, let alone your boss, of your bombshell plans demonstrated a staggering lack of respect. Then Meghan jetting back to Canada and missing the meeting about her entire future (the one she wants) was rude to say the least.
Yes, of course there is racism in our society. But to imply the whole country is a hotbed of hatred is wrong.
What we dislike about Harry and Meghan is the hypocrisy and the obvious contempt with which they hold not only his family but us.
Remember when they announced their engagement, they grandly did so standing the opposite side of a pond from the assembled press corps?
