SIR Paul McCartney has told of his late wife’s determination to record her last song, despite suffering from cancer.

The Beatles legend said he feared Linda would not be strong enough to sing a track called The Light Comes From Within – but she proved him wrong.

Macca, 77, revealed the pair had planned her album Wide Prairie in 1998 while she was in the final stages of breast cancer.

He said: “When we came to record The Light, which was sadly to be her last, I said half-jokingly, ‘You can’t sing this.’

“She looked at me with a sparkle in her eye and said: ‘You wanna bet?’

“It was her answer to all the people who’d ever put her down. God bless her… my little baby literally had the last word.”

Linda died weeks later at the age of 56.

Sir Paul, now married to Nancy Shevell, was marking Wide Prairie’s rerelease and the launch of all Linda’s music videos on her own YouTube channel.

LISA Armstrong last night angrily denied she is set for a £31million divorce payout after the collapse of her marriage to Ant McPartlin.

The telly make-up artist branded reports of the whopping settlement “a load of nonsense”.

And she vowed to call in lawyers after claims she stands to get more than half of Ant’s £50m fortune.

She publicly thanked one Twitter follower who stated: “She doesn’t give a s*** about the cash, it’s the hurt which she has suffered.’’

Telly host Ant, 44, was reported to have been thrilled to have finally settled their bitter divorce.

Along with the huge payout Lisa was said to be allowed to remain in the £5m west London mansion they once shared.

And the pair reportedly agreed to share custody of their labrador Hurley.

But Lisa soon took to Twitter to rubbish the claims.

One of her 143,000 followers said: “And more than well deserved too @ lisaAmakeup if this is true.’’

Lisa, 43, replied: “Nope a load of nonsense AGAIN... you’ll be hearing from my lawyers AGAIN.’’

She added: “I deny it ’cos it’s not true.’’

Last night Lisa’s agent referred requests for comment on the divorce settlement to her lawyer, who did not respond.
