- With Mike Ward

I don’t mean this in a cruel way, but Bradley Walsh isn’t getting any younger. And if he carries on the way he does tonight in BRADLEY WALSH & SON: BREAKING DAD (8pm, ITV), I’m worried he won’t be getting any older.

On the latest leg of their US journey, his lad Barney decides it would be a brilliant idea for the pair of them to take part in a bull-riding rodeo, strangely oblivious to the fact that it blatantly wouldn’t.

The aim of the actual exercise, I’ll grant you, sounds simple enough on paper: to remain on the bucking bull’s back for a mere eight seconds, with one of your arms aloft and the other gripping on to the rope. But given that these are referred to as “the eight most dangerous seconds in sport”, Barney starts to worry that his dad might do himself a mischief.

And no prizes for guessing what happens next…

Elsewhere tonight, the animatronic creatures we get to meet in this week’s SPY IN THE WILD (9pm, BBC One) include a fake snake, filming undercover in

Canada. But in the group that it’s managed to infiltrate it seems it’s not the only impostor. Its tiny hidden camera reveals that one of the real-life snakes is in fact a male making out he’s a female. Honestly, can you imagine such a thing? On second thoughts, best you don’t answer that.

Also starring in tonight’s episode: a spy hummingbird, a spy squirrel (hang on, didn’t that use to be a cartoon?), a spy macaque and a spy salmon, the latter sadly destined to end its days as a spy fishcake.
