HARRY KANE has given Spurs fans an injury boost by posting pictures of himself stepping up his return from a hamstring surgery.

The England captain, 26, had an operation after rupturing a tendon in his left leg during the defeat at Southampton on New Year’s Day.

The marksman yesterday posted a video of himself exercising in the gym and stretching his injured leg, with the caption: “Working hard, making progress.”

Spurs are still hunting for a striker ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline.

BRUNO FERNANDES says that Cristiano Ronaldo inspired him to join Manchester United.

The Portugal star yesterday completed his £68m move from Sporting Lisbon.

He agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal worth £150,000 a week. He becomes the club’s fourth most expensive signing, admitting the move is a dream come true.

He said: “My love of Manchester United really started when I used to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play. Ever since then I

have been a big fan of this great club,” said the 25-year-old attacking midfielder. “For me, to now play for Manchester United feels incredible. “I have worked hard to get to this moment and I can promise the fans that I will give everything for the badge to help bring us more success and trophies.

“I want to thank Sporting for everything they have done for me. It is surreal to hear the nice words that have been said about me from players that used to play for this team.

“A massive thank you to Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer) and everyone at Manchester United for the trust they have shown in me.”

Boss Solskjaer, who could hand Fernandes his debut in tomorrow’s home game with Wolves, said: “We have been tracking Bruno for many months. Everyone here has been tremendously impressed with all his attributes and what he will bring to this team. Bruno’s goals and assists stats speak for themselves.

“He will be a fantastic addition to our team and he will help us push on in the second part of the season.”

United outcast Marcos Rojo has returned to Argentina to join Estudiantes on loan until the end of the season, while Nemanja Matic has urged Old Trafford bosses to resolve his future.

Matic is out of contract in June and says United have so far refused to open talks over a new deal.
