But it has Scot to be England, says Paige

LOVE Island winner Paige Turley says she will marry sweetheart Finn Tapp and ditch Scotland because the southerner would be “eaten alive” up north.

Loved-up Paige reckons Glasgow would be “a bit rough” for footballer Finn and the pair will shack up together in England instead.

The winter show champs are set to move in together in Manchester. Paige, 22, from West Lothian, joked: “I think Glasgow might be a bit rough for Finn. They’d eat him alive! Ha ha! I think it would be a bit unfair of me to take him away from his comforts.”

Paige, who was crowned Villa champion with her lover, 20, also joked she thought about pranking the football ace on

Sunday’s final by pretending to keep the £50,000 prize money.

The singer said: “I should have said: ‘I’ll take the £50,000 and share £5,000 with you’!

“I would have made a joke

[about keeping it], but I thought,

‘What if he seriously thinks that’s my answer?’ I just thought,

I’m not going to even put my foot in it!”

Touching

The pair are already talking about walking down the aisle together after Finn confessed: “I have thought about marriage with Paigey.”

But the lovebirds’ plans might have to be put on ice after it emerged that Finn’s football club is expecting him back on the pitch now that the reality show is over.

Oxford City’s commercial director, Mick Livesey, warned that Finn is still their player.

He said: “He has a contract, so he has to finish the contract he has with the football club. He’s done very, very well for us.”

Fans were overwhelmed on Sunday night as presenter Laura Whitmore paid a touching tribute to her friend Caroline Flack, who took her own life the previous Saturday.

Laura’s voice cracked as she told viewers: “The past week has been extremely difficult coming to terms with the loss of our friend and colleague Caroline.

We’re thinking of her family and everyone who knew her at this time.

“Caroline loved Love Island, she loved love and that’s why tonight’s final is dedicated to her.”

Fans praised Laura, 34, for her professionalism.

One viewer wrote: “Your strength last night blew me away. Thank you for reminding us of the point of love island.” And another added: “Laura Whitmore clearly found presenting the final very hard. Sending you all the love in the world. Caroline would’ve been proud.”
