WELL done to Elfyn Evans, Britain’s emerging new rally hero. Evans currently leads the World Rally Championsh­ip after recently winning the Swedish round of the championsh­ip. Not since the heady days of Colin McRae and Richard Burns have we had a driver that has enjoyed this level of success.

A NEW version of Nissan’s Navara has joined the existing pick-up range as the new flagship model.

Called the Navara N-Guard, it’s based on the double cab Navara powered by a 190bhp motor driving through a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed automatic gearbox with part time four-wheel drive system.

The N-Guard is available in black, white, grey and a new electric blue.

Inside you get leather seats as standard with blue stitching and footwell lighting. All this for £30,775.

The Navara N-Guard is available to order in March.

AUDI is bringing only 25 of these Bronze Edition RS4 Avants to the UK.

Powered by a 450bhp 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 motor, the RS4 features Vesuvius Grey paint and black detailing with 20in bronze alloys.

Inside there’s bronze stitching and carbon detailing. Audi also chucks in a RS sports exhaust as standard. Yours for £82,395.

Powered by AMG’s ubiquitous 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that’s fitted to all of the company’s hottest products, as well as several Aston Martins, the version in this car produces a massive 612bhp.

Mainland Europe gets a slightly less powerful 571bhp version but it appears that we Brits are power hungry because we only get the S. The car also features a 48v mild hybrid system and starter/generator.

The GLE 63 S arrives in the UK in spring with prices announced nearer the time.
