AXED chat show host Jeremy Kyle has talked of his struggle for a TV comeback – less than a year after being dumped over the suspected suicide of a guest.
PRESENTER Jeremy Kyle has moaned about his ordeal following the death of a guest while vowing to return to our screens.
His new manager, Claire Powell, announced Kyle’s comeback yesterday, saying the controversial chat show host “will be back soon to have his say”.
A statement on social media said: “A committed father and family man, he’s also a cancer survivor who has miraculously just welcomed a new son (and grandson!) into the world.
“And after a year spent battling the unimaginable consequences of a devastating tragedy, Jeremy Kyle will be back soon to have his say: WATCH THIS SPACE!”
The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed by ITV last year following the suspected suicide of guest Steve Dymond, 63, just days after he appeared on the programme.
Running for 14 years, the talk show saw Kyle bring warring friends and family together to try to work out their issues in front of the camera.
Telly fans led a backlash against Kyle last night. Twitter user Samanthab1970 said: “In a right thinking world Kyle would never appear on TV again.” DarrlaSlaughter added “about as welcome a return as the measles” and called Kyle “a weasel, a coward”.
But others were delighted at his return. Joyce Combe said: “Looking forward to hearing his side of things. Miss seeing him on the TV.”
And Shaye Stacey added: “Jeremy Kyle is back and McDonald’s has released a triple cheeseburger… what a day to be alive.”
