“To be honest, I just like the look of it. I thought it would be neat. It’s definitely striking, and I think it’s a beautiful colour.”

ATTEMPTS by Florida police to round up a fugitive on the loose since late January have so far proved udderly useless.

The clip, filmed close to the top secret White Sands military base in Texas, shows a strange object in the sky that looks just like the scary alien spaceship.

It comes as the Borg appear in the hit new Picard series on Amazon Prime.

The aliens originally appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation and coined the catchphrase “Resistance is futile”.

Their mission was to assimilate other beings into their “Collective”.

Jack Greminger said on Facebook: “It’s a Borg cube, we’re doomed I tell you, doomed. Resistance is futile.”

Sebastian Meusel wrote: “Where is my cat? I don’t want him to be assimilated.”

And Mike Drennan said: “It’s the Borg, but when they arrived and saw what we were like as a species, they had no interest in adding our biological and technological distinctiveness to their own immediately left.”

The video starts with images of the black cube emerging from clouds over the city of El Paso from “a black hole-type portal”.

A narrator claims that two independent witnesses confirmed sightings of the Cube. and
