BBC Carol weathers a bike smash drama

STAR ON MEND AFTER ACCIDENT

BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood was rushed to hospital after being knocked off her bike by a passing car.

The Scottish presenter has been missing from our television screens for several weeks.

On her return yesterday morning she admitted she had been spending time recuperati­ng in Slough, Berks.

And she was flooded with sympathy when she revealed she was hit by a car while out riding her bike before being rushed to Wexham Park Hospital.
