A GROUP of teddy bears prove they are tougher than they look by riding a hair-raising rollercoaster.

The 22 cuddly toys were strapped into the Untamed theme park ride.

They survived a tummy-churning 116-foot drop and five loops at an eye-popping 57mph top speed.

Walibi Holland in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands, reopened last week after being shut during the pandemic.

JOE Cole says becoming a teen football sensation turned him from being a spotty kid into “Brad Pitt”. The midfielder hit the headlines when he signed for West Ham United aged 15 in 1998. He was reported to have been on £5,000 a week at the time but maintains now he was only getting “expenses”. However the then schoolboy revealed it made him a hit with the girls. He said: “I left school on Friday just a normal looking spotty 15-year-old – I turned up Monday as Brad Pitt.

“I remember it was in a Sunday paper.

“I was on the front page and it was people hammering me saying I’m earning more than the Prime Minister.

“And I was like: ‘Where’s all this money coming from, I haven’t seen nothing!’”

He added: “Going into school, that gave me a little look into what fame would be like because you walk back into school and everybody was looking at me. And everybody changed. When you get famous you don’t change but people change towards you.”

Joe, 38, who went on to have a glittering career with Chelsea and Liverpool, also revealed he got revenge on a teacher who was taunting him about his cash.

“He was like: ‘If anyone needs a lend of a few quid ask Joe, he’s on five grand a week.’

“So I said: ‘Yeah listen Sir, I’ve seen what you drive, if you need a few quid just give me a shout.’

“That just made him more and more angry.”
