Harry’s boys to get Oz transfer

ITV bosses want to sign up at least one of Harry’s Heroes for I’m A Celebrity. The hit show Harry’s Heroes: Euro Having A Laugh saw Harry Redknapp reunited with his squad of ex-england internationals including John Barnes, Paul Merson and Matt Le Tissier. Ex-spurs boss Harry was crowned King of the Jungle in 2018, while Neil “Razor” Ruddock was on the show in 2004.

It is not known which names ITV could go for, but Barnes has already put his name in the hat. The ex-liverpool star said earlier this year: “I’ve done a number of shows in my days, from Family Fortunes to Strictly Come Dancing, but nothing as adventurous as I’m A Celeb. “There’s nothing I wouldn’t eat or anything I wouldn’t do... I’m fairly easy-going. If they asked me to do something, I’d do it. “The only fear I have is of sharks, so by saying this I’m sure they’re going to put me in a tank with sharks.

“But I guess that’s the nature of the game... everything else I’d be fine with. And it’d be good to lose some weight.” Departing Corrie star Beverley Callard, 63 – who has played Rovers barmaid Liz Mcdonald on and off for more than 30 years – has already signed up.

An insider revealed: “Everyone was thrilled when Bev agreed to get on board. It will be great to see her antics in the jungle.”

And bosses have got their fingers crossed that the show, hosted by Ant and Dec, will go ahead in Australia despite the pandemic. The source added: “We’re booking as usual and remaining hopeful. November is a long way off.”
