2 IN 1968, high on acid, John Lennon told his fellow Beatles he was Jesus Christ reincarnated. While Lennon was reportedly stopped from telling this to the world by his bandmates, he went on to say of his peace activism with wife Yoko Ono: “We’re trying to make Christ’s message contemporary.”

3 FLEETWOOD Mac singer Stevie Nicks, far right, is known for her New Age ways, so it’s unsurprising she believes she had a past life.

But what is surprising is former hard-partying Nicks says she was in a monastery.

“I think I was a monk in another life,” she said in a 1982 interview. She also said she was beheaded in another life, and says that is why she suffers from chronic neck problems.

4 SYLVESTER Stallone’s mum Jackie, who is a psychic, reportedly told her son he had several past lives. The one he remembers most is being a man who lost his head during the French Revolution.

“When somebody at a party said how awful it must be to be guillotined, I found myself saying, ‘Oh no, it doesn’t hurt. You don’t feel anything,’” he recalled. Stallone also claimed he was the reincarnation of a “Guatemalan monkey”.

5 ACCORDING to Lady Gaga, above, she is the reincarnation of her aunt Joanne, who died at the age of 19. Gaga said: “When my mother was engaged to marry my father, a light came into the room and touched her stomach and went away. She believes that Joanne came into the room and transferred her spirit into my mom.”

The singer, whose middle name is Joanne, renamed her fifth album after her aunt.

SINGER Phil Collins, inset

6 right, was told by a psychic that he was 19th Century US politician John W. Smith in a past life. Smith fought at the 1836 Battle of Alamo between Texans and Mexicans.

Collins said as a child he always played soldiers at this particular battle.

He then went on to own the largest private collection of artefacts from the battle.

Clairvoyant Carolyn Raineforeman, who met Collins in Texas, said: “It made perfect sense that for somebody who grew up far away in England, there had to be something more driving him than just a casual interest in the Alamo.”
