★ A STOLEN puppy gets the ride of his life in a police car after he was found on a main road.

Peanut the cavapoo was spotted wandering in Detling Hill, Kent, on Wednesday.

★ The seven-month-old pooch was pinched a few days before, along with eight others, but has been reunited with his owners.

THREE “animalistic” thugs terrorised a city centre by committing seven robberies in just 90 minutes.

They surrounded victims and punched, stamped on and kicked them, taking wallets, purses, cash, bank cards and phones.

A teenage victim, who spent a month in hospital with damaged vertebrae, told police they were “organised and vicious and seemed to enjoy it”.

He added: “It seemed they were having fun. It felt animalistic. I felt like their prey. They circled me like predators.”

One man was left unconscious and two needed metal plates in their jaws.

Cousins Samuel and Adi Cretu, both aged 21, and a 15-year-old youth, all from

Romania, had travelled from Oldham into Manchester at 2am.

Adrian Farrow, prosecuting, said they “carried out a concerted campaign of robbery, gratuitous violence and fraud”.

Returning to Oldham after their 90-minute crime spree, the thugs enjoyed a meal at a Mcdonald’s restaurant, Manchester Crown Court was told.

All three admitted assault and conspiracy to rob and commit fraud.

Adi was jailed for six years, eight months, Samuel for six years, two months and the teen got a two-year rehabilitation order.
