Three cheers for the weekenders

BOSSES at ITV are lining something for the weekend. They’ve announced three new shows that will air on Saturdays and Sundays this summer that will be fronted by telly favourites Ainsley Harriott, Alan Titchmarsh and Ranvir Singh.
ITV boss Katie Rawcliffe said: “There is hopefully something for everyone with great presenters and strong content and the new shows will reflect the modern times we are living in with warmth and a weekend feel.”
Ainsley will be cooking up a storm on new show The Food We Love.
Each week he’ll be joined by a special guest and fellow chefs.
He said: “The Food We Love is a chance to share some of my absolute favourite dishes… up how could I resist? It really will be a fabulous foodie feelgood show!”
Gardening expert Alan will be fronting Love Your Weekend.
It will feature everything from wildlife to crafts as well as celeb guests. He said: “Love Your Weekend is an entertaining celebration of rural life and country matters and I’m chuffed to bits to be presenting it.”
And Ranvir will be joined by her Good Morning Britain co-star Alex Beresford on new show All Around Britain.
The magazine show will come from a different location every weekend in a bid to celebrate communities around the country.
Ranvir said: “It’s exciting to be involved in a brand new Sunday morning show, shining a light on interesting people and places around the country, and taking a closer look at what makes this country tick.”
