Apple’s £11.6bn tax slice

-

TECH giant Apple and Ireland have won their case over a £11.6billion tax bill from European Commission bosses.

The company was accused of getting illegal state aid and paying just 1% corporation tax from sales across the European Union by funnelling its profits through an Irish firm.

The General Court in Luxembourg yesterday ruled in favour of Apple although a final decision by the European courts is still pending.
