IT WAS no laughing matter for comedian Romesh Ranganathan when he forgot to wash his hands properly in an Indian restaurant – and ended up with curry on his willy.

The stand-up comic said he had been eating jalfrezi and when he returned to his seat after visiting the toilet he suffered a burning sensation which “felt like an STI”.

The 42-year-old TV funnyman confessed he had not washed his hands properly while eating the spicy green chilli dish with fellow comedian Suzi Ruffell, and then had to reveal the embarrassing situation to her.

Speaking on the Off Menu podcast, the A League Of Their Own star said: “I was at dinner with Suzi Ruffell at an Indian restaurant after a tour date and then I went to the toilet and came back to sit down.

Rapid

“Basically, I had the experience of what I believed felt like the rapid onset of an STI.

“Actually, what it was, I hadn’t washed my hands properly before going for a p*** and I transferred either lime pickle or possibly jalfrezi on to my penis.

“I then had to say to Suzi ‘just hold your anecdote a minute there Suzi, I’m going to go back to the toilet – I know I’ve just been, but there’s no other way of explaining it apart from the fact that I think I might have curry on my dick.’”

Ranganathan, who is vegan, added that “it was the worst”, and said: “It was upsetting that I was handling food and those molecules made their way to my penis.”

Thankfully the dad-ofthree suffered no lasting damage to his member.
