Maxwell secretly married
GHISLAINE Maxwell has a secret husband but will not reveal the name of her other half.
The news came as paedo Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged “pimp” pleaded not guilty to grooming girls as young as 14 and abusing them.
The British socialite’s marriage was revealed by US Attorney Alison Moe as she successfully blocked bail for the 58-year-old.
The prosecutor told New York district judge Alison Nathan that Maxwell had refused to provide details about her life or the name of a person who would cosign her bond if she was freed while awaiting trial.
Ms Moe told the court: “The defendant also makes no mention whatsoever about the financial circumstances or assets of her spouse whose identity she declined to provide.”
The court heard Maxwell posed as married couple “Janet and Scott Marshall” when viewing the New Hampshire home she bought for £840,000 cash in December where cops picked her up on July 2.
Judge Nathan ruled Ghislaine, the daughter of corrupt media tycoon Robert Maxwell, will stay in jail until her trial next July.
