Paula Tilbrook aged 89.
The soap star played sherryloving village gossip Betty Eagleton for 21 years.
Paula passed away on December 1, 2019, but the news was only made public by The Stage yesterday.
She began her stint in 1994 and left in 2015 but returned for a short cameo in that year’s Christmas episode.
Her character finally departed Emmerdale after finding love in Australia.

Sally Bell, 52, cannot explain moggy Avery’s finds as they do not live near a swimming pool or leisure centre. Four-year-old Avery has now delivered eight pairs.
Mum-of-two Sally from Bristol said: “I do want to return them to the owners – I really don’t want eight pairs of goggles, I have no use for them.”
