Son race slur man axed

A FOOTBALL fan has been axed from a popular Youtube channel over a racist slur aimed at Tottenham star Son Heung-min.

Claude Callegari was sacked from Arsenal fan channel AFTV after being accused of saying “DVD’S going off” during a live stream of Spurs’ 2-1 win over Arsenal.

“DVD” is a racist term aimed at Asian people apparently meant to reference the selling of pirate films in markets.

AFTV chief Robbie Lyle apologised for the incident and said Callegari had been removed from the online channel. Lyle wrote on Twitter: “I would like to sincerely apologise for the derogatory remark heard on the AFTV live stream on Sunday.

“It is only appropriate that Claude is removed from the channel indefinitely. In no way do I or AFTV condone racism of any kind.”

Son was targeted by a West Ham supporter last year who used the same “DVD” jibe.
