A MAN smashed a window to get into his home after a booze bender because he did not want his kebab to go cold.

Fitness instructor Reece Barr, 25, was captured on his own CCTV camera climbing a 20ft ladder armed with a hammer at 1am.

He said: “The mission was to get inside and eat my kebab before it went cold. The kebab was safe and nobody was seriously injured – and it was definitely worth saving.”

Reece had downed 20 pints of lager and at least five Jagerbombs on a Sunday night out with his pals.

However, he discovered he did not have a key to his house.

At first he tried to get some kip in his homemade bar in the garden but decided he needed his own bed and wanted to save his kebab. smashed the glass, causing £300 worth of damage.

Reece added: “I was very drunk. I’d had at least 20 pints of Stella and we had some Jagerbombs.”

He was shocked to wake up in his own bed the next morning after his heavy boozing session. Reece said he began to piece together the events of the previous night when he noticed the smashed window and the ladder. Then he checked the CCTV footage at his Leeds home. Reece said: “I remember getting in but I don’t remember how. “When I saw the footage I laughed. It was hilarious. In my state I was pretty proud of how I did.”
