FORMER England rugby union ace Jon Sleightholme says retired players need better support for injuries.

The 47-year-old spoke out after Durham University research revealed the game is more dangerous than ever and is associated with lasting physical impacts.

Jon said: “What the study highlights for me is the need for long-term support and education for ex-players to help them manage these conditions as they get older.”
