Tomato terror of robber

A Shelf-stacker saw off a knifeman with just a tin of tomatoes for a weapon.

Dad-of-seven Abdullah Saleh was working in his pal’s store when the raider held a knife at his neck.

The masked man yelled: “Give me the f***ing money” as he brandished the huge blade.

But ex-soldier Abdullah, 50, calmly told him: “Get out of the shop, it’s not happening now.”

CCTV shows him pushing the robber backwards before dragging him out of the store in Sheffield, South Yorks. He then threw a can of tomatoes at his head as he fled.

Abdullah’s son Deen, 19, said of the incident: “I’m so proud of my dad.

“He grew up in Yemen and learned how to fight and defend himself.”
