APPLE’S Airpods are getting yet another rival, and this time it comes via Google.

The US firm’s new Pixel Buds arrive with some neat features including instant access to Google’s clever assistant and the ability to translate foreign lingo in real-time – perfect for ordering a pint on your holidays.

Like all wire-free earbuds, these mini music makers come in a pocket-sized charging case that refills them when they are not in your ears.

When full of juice they will keep playing for around five hours with some impressive audio thanks to custom 12mm dynamic speaker drivers.

Google is also boasting its Pixel Buds include something called Adaptive Sound which will automatica­lly optimise the volume based on any environmen­tal noise.

If all that sounds enticing then the new Pixel Buds are available from today on the Google Store in Clearly White. Another colour, Almost Black, will arrive later in the year.

They are priced at £179, putting them at the more premium end of the ear buds market.

NINTENDO fans will be jumping for joy over a new LEGO set. The latest release from the brick-based firm is a 1980s Nintendo Entertainm­ent System which includes the classic controller­s and some Super Mario action on its retro screen.

There’s even an opening slot for the old-fashioned gaming cartridge, and it’s all made from those famous blocks. The LEGO Nintendo Entertainm­ent System goes on sale next month for £209.99.
