Bielsa stays cool in the heat of battle
MARCELO BIELSA is keeping calm as Leeds close in on promotion.
They could clinch a return to the Premier League against Derby on Sunday if they beat Barnsley tonight, and the fans are excited their 16-year top-flight exile is nearly over.
But Bielsa refuses to get carried away and says he is just focused
vKICK-OFF 5pm on tonight’s Yorkshire derby at Elland Road.
“What I try to do is think about the decisions I have to make,” said the Leeds boss. “The best way to do this is to be calm.
“The feeling is the same we have had all season. We just try to win every game and we are not thinking about the consequences if we win this match.
“It’s important to manage these emotions to compete in the right way.”
Bielsa (right) remains grounded, even though Leeds took a giant stride towards promotion with their last-gasp win over Swansea on Sunday.
“The happiness after we won a match with a goal in the last minute is very visible for everybody,” said the Argentinian.
“But this happiness lasts for just that time and after some hours have passed, everything is normal again.”
