LAMPARD’S REDS RAGE

-

off.” Lampard’s players fought back impressively from 3-0 and 4-1 down, before Liverpool finally won 5-3 in Wednesday’s game, which immediately preceded the trophy handover.

Lampard let loose after Mateo Kovacic was adjudged to have fouled Sadio Mane on the edge of the Chelsea box, with Liverpool leading 1-0.

“How is that a foul? There’s no foul there,” Lampard shouted, appearing to approach Liverpool boss Klopp before the fourth official intervened.

“Sit down then,” Lampard could be heard shouting, with Klopp gesturing to calm down with his outstretched arms.

That appeared to make Lampard even more irate and the Chelsea legend then turned on Lijnders, as Klopp continued repeating: “Calm down, calm down”.

“If he’s going off at me I’ll f ***** g say something,” blasted Lampard.

Addressing Lijnders directly, Lampard shouted: “It’s not a f ***** g foul, I’m not asking you!”

Klopp, appearing to back his own man, screamed back “Hey!” at the Chelsea boss.

“You can f*** off and all,” Lampard appeared to say in response.

Although the officials intervened, Lampard remained determined to have the last word shouting back: “Tell them to have respect, sit down!” Lampard told Sky Sports after the match: “I’ve got no problem with Jurgen Klopp, he has managed this team and it is fantastic.

“[But] some of the bench, it is a fine line between when you are winning – and they have won the league, fair play to Liverpool – but also don’t get too arrogant with it.

“In matchplay you get emotional and that is it.”
