Tonioli will be back after guest judges

FLUFFY little Darwin the duckling screams with delight after hatching from a box of Waitrose eggs.

Owner Lauren Barton, 26, picked up the six-pack of free range Clarence Court Braddock Whites for £2.59.

But the English teacher had no plans to eat them. Instead she put half of the eggs into an Amazon-bought incubator and 28 days later celebrated her new arrival.

Lauren, from Ipswich, Suffolk, said: “He’s gorgeous. He’s so friendly, he loves us completely.

“He’s like a little dog

– he’s so loyal and just follows us around everywhere. He wants attention all the time.

“I think he thinks he’s a human or we are ducks.”

STRICTLY’S Craig Revel Horwood has insisted co-star Bruno Tonioli will not be leaving the show for good.

Judge Bruno, 64, has had to pull out of this year’s run as he will be in the US for Dancing With The Stars.

He would normally fly between the UK and US every week but this year fears over Covid-19 will prevent this.

But Craig, 55, is confident his pal will only be missing for one series.

He is calling on bosses to draft in a string of guest judges this autumn instead of choosing a permanent replacement – because Bruno will return in 2021.

Craig said: “They might throw guest judges in for fun. Then when everything’s back to normal, Bruno can make his triumphant return!”

Bruno and Craig have been on the Strictly panel since the show launched in 2004.

Show executives face a challenge to make it work without Bruno. Strictly has had three guest judges over the years – Jennifer Grey, 60, Donny Osmond, 62, and Alfonso Ribeiro, 48.

It has been rumoured Cheryl, 37, could be offered the chance to join the panel.

But Craig has warned her that it is unlikely she will get the call. He said: “Cheryl. Lovely girl, but I don’t think it will happen.”

This year’s series is shorter – starting a month later than usual in October.
