Holidaymakers should not blame our government for taking immediate precautions to safeguard our Nation. It would and will happen with other Countries and ours, should an increase in COVID-19 cases here. It is the choice of the holidaymakers, if they wish to take a vacation away from any Country this could and will happen again with any Country. Remember to stay safe and keep your distance, relax, enjoy your holidays sensibly and take note Spain had to shutdown nightclubs and bars first because of increased cases. Monte

I booked a holiday to spain in january paying a small deposit with the balance to be paid june before flying out july 20th. Then this pandemic hit and like any sensible person I tried to cancel. They wouldn’t let me unless I paid a cancellation fee of £500. Then in june we were told by the travel company the flights were cancelled from bristol but we still have to pay the £1,100 outstanding even though there was no holiday. I’m assuming a lot of other people like myself found themselves in the same situation but their hols weren’t cancelled and they had to go even if they didn’t want to. Instead I went to penzance last week. Lovely place, but the waters bleeding freezing.

In Tuesdays paper a Care worker was going to be losing £2k for having to be quarantined for 2weeks. This must mean that she must be on £52k a year. Amazing! Top grade nurses don’t earn that much.
