KEEP IT UP

Alisson only just started

- ■ by DAVID MADDOCK

ALISSON has promised there are “great things to come” from a Liverpool side hungrier for glory after two trophy-laden years.

The Brazilian keeper warned anyone trying to take the Reds’ title that they are far from satisfied with the four major trophies won.

“I think every year our are renewing,” Alisson said.

“The great feeling from winning things gives you the desire to win again, everything.

“We’ve won the Champions League and we will go for that again. We’ve won the Premier League and we will go for that again.

“We’ve done amazing things in the last two seasons and I am looking forward to what we can do in the next one.

“I believe there are many great things to come for us.”

Alisson insists Liverpool won’t be fearful in defence of their crown and will be bolder and attack the title as claimed by boss Jurgen Klopp.

Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “Definitely, 100 per cent I agree with him. It was strengths the way we won the title – by attacking it. If you want to defend it, we have to attack it again.

“We will prepare for that, we will be on our toes when we are back in action.

“It is one step after the other. Now we have the preparation, the preseason, and we have to do our best in this moment.”

That means attacking from the first kick-off, which comes against Arsenal in the Community Shield on Saturday week.

“It will be great to start the season fighting for a trophy,” Alisson said at Liverpool’s training camp in Austria. “We are here to do our best to prepare not only for that game but for the whole season.” Liverpool are ready to ignore loan requests for two of their young talents, despite several clubs asking about Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson.

They will only consider a sale for Grujic, who has been on loan at Hertha Berlin for the past two seasons. Wilson was at Bournemouth last season but is expected to remain with the Reds this term.
