NORMAL People’s Daisy Edgar-jones was pleased her co-star Paul Mescal got naked as much as she did.

The pair – who played on-off lovers Marianne and Connell in the BBC drama – had to film plenty of sex scenes together.

But Daisy said a key element for her was “the equality of nudity between Paul and I”.

To overcome their shyness of stripping off on camera, the two actors were shown life art drawings and nude paintings to prove to them how beautiful the naked body can be.

INBETWEENERS star Greg Davies will next appear in new BBC One comedy The Cleaner.

He plays Paul “Wicky” Wickstead – a crime scene cleaner tasked with the removal of any signs of death.

The actor, 52, said: “As a young man I told a careers adviser I wanted to mop blood up for a living or be a comedian.”

Greg added: “He told me with a giggle neither were real jobs and I should consider learning a trade.

“Well he’s not laughing now, is he? Sadly, he’s dead.”

star Natalie Cassidy is branching out into comedy tonight playing a potty-mouthed gangland boss.

And the actress – best known as trumpet-playing Sonia Jackson in the soap – says she didn’t have to look far for inspiration for her character Donna Ball.

Natalie said: “My inspiration came from characters like Peggy Mitchell in Eastenders and Polly Shelby in Peaky Blinders – hard, strong women who mean business.

“Donna reminded me of the women who I used to see growing up in Islington, with all their jewellery on, done up to the nines.”

The star appears in tonight’s episode of Mandy on BBC Two and fans may be shocked to see her doing both comedy and swearing like a trooper.

Show creator Diane Morgan even warned: “I’m not sure how people will feel about her effing and jeffing. They’ll either be appalled or think it’s fantastic.”

But Natalie loved it and said: “I’m a comedy nut. I watched Diane in Motherland and thought she was so fantastic and I thought I’d love to work with her one day.

“Then I watched the first comedy short of Mandy that she did a year or so ago and I tweeted her saying just that. It came true. Social media is very good sometimes.”
