East End hardman Ray warns fakers to ‘ jog on’

- EXCLUSIVE by WILL STONE

TOUGH guy Ray Winstone has finally joined Instagram after getting sick of people pretending to be him.

The movie star posted two funny videos from his seven- month isolation on the Italian island of Sicily alongside a warning to fakers. “All you mob pretending to be me, in the past, you can jog on now,” he said.

“I mean you don’t mean no harm – except for the geezer who asked for some bitcoins, which I think was a f****** liberty.

“But if you fancy having a rabbit about sport, football, boxing… even cricket… horse racing, whatever you want to chat about, I’m here!

“If you want to talk about films I don’t mind doing that either.”

He set up the account with the words “bear with me” in reference to his technophobia, but fans were quick to welcome him.

One posted: “Brilliant that you’re here on Instagram sending us all positive vibes. Be safe. Be well.”

Another wrote: “Saw all the fake accounts have been on here, so pleased you have set up your own proper account, big fan of yours.”

Ray said he is “bowled over” by the response to his Instagram account, which got more than 10,000 followers in just three days.

“I’ve been here in Sicily now for seven months,” he said in another video. “I’m OK, I lost a lot of weight and put some weight back on.

“I’m just learning how to do this properly and I’ll get back to everyone hopefully when I can.”

The actor has been tucking into snail eggs, sausage and pasta in his new travel series, dubbed Ray Winstone’s Sicily.

He has been joined by friends as he travelled the length of the Italian island sampling its cuisine.

Ray’s tasty new series starts on Monday on Blaze TV.
