MADE In Chelsea star Jamie Laing fears he will be the first victim of Strictly’s dreaded curse.

But the hex has nothing to do with his love life, it is all down to the choice of dance.

The TV hunk believes he will be booted off tomorrow because BBC bosses made him do the cha cha. Italian pro dancer Giovanni Pernice has warned him the dance is jinxed because those who do it usually go home.

He said: “I did the cha cha last week or as Giovanni says: ‘ The cha cha ciao”, because anyone who does it normally goes home because it’s that hard a dance.

“I went first. I did it and I am now second from bottom. My odds of winning are now 33- 1.

“It would be embarrassing if I’m first to go.”

Ex- Strictly favourites Catherine Tyldesley, Lee Ryan, Vick Hope, Iwan Thomas, Thom Evans, Pixie Lott and Jake Wood were all kicked off after performing the cha cha.

On tonight’s Strictly on BBC One, Jamie and dance partner Karen Hauer will perform an American Smooth in the hope of getting extra points to help them stay in the contest.

Meanwhile, comic Bill Bailey is being put through his paces and has even been tied to a cross by dance partner Oti Mabuse to help his posture.

He also revealed he is having a “cosy” time with his wife Kristin and Oti as they have formed a bubble in line with Covid rules.

Bill joked: “It’s quite cosy in there! Our teenage son lives with us but he’s not allowed to be part of the bubble. To be honest, he’s loving it!”
