Star hung upside down in dreams
DANNY Dyer used to have nightmares about hanging upside down in his mum and dad’s bedroom “like a bat”.
The Eastenders actor had bizarre dreams when he got ill during his younger years.
He said: “I was hanging upside down in my mum and dad’s bedroom and they couldn’t see me. “Above their bed – like a bat.” And once while sleepwalking he confronted his mother in the early hours, leaving her “petrified”.
Speaking about his night terrors, Danny, 43, said: “I used to go to some f****** mad places.
“I’d sleepwalk. I remember me mum found me once with my head in a washing bin.” Talking with daughter Dani, 24, on their Sorted with the Dyers podcast, Danny added: “There was another dream where my mum was in the living room in our tiny little e drum in Custom House, and d she could hear me obviously bviht having a night terror.
“I had got up from m bed and I was walking towards her down the corridor r going: ‘ What’s in your ur pockets? What’s in your pockets?’ My mum was f****** petrified.”
Danny, who plays Mick Carter in the BBC1 soap, also admitted he “had lots of fun” with medieval stocks he found in a garden shed when he moved into his house – revealing he decided to keep the punishment instrument for parties with friends.
He said said: “There were thousands sands of wine bottles and som some medieval stocks. “I’m not sure what sort s of parties they got up to, but we kept them.
“We felt we should k keep the tradition going in on.
“We’ve had lots of fun. We invited the neighbo neighbours over and we all used the stocks.”
