VERN SEXT PAL SAYS: MOVE ON
GLAMOUR model Rhian Sugden has urged people to let Vernon Kay “get on with his life” a decade after their sexting scandal.
Before going on I’m A Celeb, Vernon said he and Strictly presenter Tess had “moved on” from the drama in 2010 when he admitted sending flirty messages to lingerie model Rhian.
Responding to a story published yesterday about what happened in 2010, she said: “This is b***** ks. Let the guy get on with his life. This is 11 years old. MOVE ON!”
And Vernon now appears to be very happy with married life, speaking in camp about how he renewed his wedding vows and agreed to sign up for the show to please daughters Phoebe, 16, and Amber, 11.
Vern is also sending secret messages to wife Tess Daly from the camp.
The Strictly host has told how her husband makes a sign to show he is OK and thinking of her.
Referring to Friday night’s live trial, Tess said: “Nice to see the novelty of live TV hasn’t worn off for Vernon.
“Ant had to move him on for the next live trial.
“He touches his left ear as a signal for me. I’m delighted and the girls were made up.”
Vernon was also seen mouthing his daughters’ names on Friday’s show.
Tess added: “Loved Vernon waving hello to Phoebe & Amber! So sweet they loved it. He’s saying: ‘ Hi Amber, Hi Phoebe.’ It was the first time they were watching together. It’s been a bit late for Amber but it’s Friday night so she was allowed up!? Made their day.”
The couple, who married in 2003, renewed their vows in France around five years ago.
