Oops! Publicity-averse woman causes an ever so teeny weeny bit of a stir by accusing Royal Family of being LIARS

A WOMAN who fled Britain to get some peace and quiet has accidentally set off a royal nuclear bomb. Whoopsie!

A PUBLICITY-SHY woman accused of bullying her staff has pushed a nuclear button by insisting The Firm was “perpetuating” lies about her.

At least 10 royal aides who worked for the woman are “queueing up” to assist an investigation ordered by the Queen into the bullying claims.

The probe will examine reports that the woman “humiliated” aides and subjected them to “emotional cruelty and manipulation”, driving out two personal assistants.

Senior royals are understood to be “dismayed” at claims that young female staff were reduced to tears, with one aide, reportedly anticipating a confrontation with the publicity-shy woman, confiding: “I can’t stop shaking.”

After the Palace issued a statement announcing the probe, a trailer for the woman and her publicityshy husband’s Oprah Winfrey television interview was aired.

The footage, released yesterday, showed the woman accusing the Palace of “lies”.

In the theatrical 30-second clip, chat queen Oprah, 67, asks: “How do you feel about the Palace hearing you speak your truth today?” Violins play in the background as the woman, 39, replies: “I don’t know how they could expect that after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us. And if that comes with risk of losing things – there’s a lot that’s been lost already.”

The swipe was dismissed by Kensington Palace sources as a “circus” as former royal aides prepared to help the investigation.

They have been given confidentiality assurances by the Palace. One source said: “A group of people are queuing up to be involved. They have been silent for too long. There is much to talk about.”

Buckingham Palace said it was “very concerned” by the bullying accusations.
