Partner wants to flog her virginity

SLEAZY STUNT’S SO SICK

-

MY girl knows how much I love her. So why is she looking to sell her virginity to the highest bidder?

She has checked online and says she could get £10,000 for a night with a loaded guy. I don’t know where she’s got that figure from, or even how accurate it is, but I’m appalled that she’s even considering such a stunt.

She’s 19 and we’ve been together for a year. I love and care for her. We kiss, cuddle and sleep together but don’t have full sex.

Cherish

So far she’s resisted the urge to go all the way with guys because she believes that her virginity is a precious gift that is hers to cherish and bestow.

I absolutely get and respect that. But why prostitute herself with a stranger?

I understand that she likes money and wants more of it, but surely some things are sacred? What about love, commitment and safety?

What if she hooks up with the highest bidder and he turns out to be a sleazeball?

What if she gets taken advantage of or hurt?

I keep begging her to really think this through, but she insists she knows what she’s doing.

She brags that her body is

beautiful – which I don’t deny – so why should she give it away for free? I’ve pointed out that’s a very hard, cynical view to take but she says her mind is made up.

Once things are “normal” again she’ll find herself a grateful playboy and then all her problems will be over. But will they?

JANE SAYS: I would suggest that having sex with a stranger for cold, hard cash would signal the beginning of her problems.

Isn’t there a danger that she’ll become hooked on sex for cash? She sounds like a person who thinks they know

all the answers, but she’s deluded if she thinks she’ll come out of that transaction unscathed.

There are some seriously horrible people out there; people who would happily chew her up and spit her out.

She could stagger out damaged and bewildered.

You know her best. Are you inclined to think this notion is a flight of fancy? Attempt at a wind-up? Or a serious plan? Have you actually said: “This is nuts”?

The problem with doing dangerous things in our youth is that they have a habit

of coming back and haunting us later in life.

We may feel we’re invincible as teens but we’re not quite so feisty as 30-, 40- and 50-year-olds.

How would she feel about telling a future partner or child about her great idea? She can’t risk anything that she may regret later.

That said, it’s her life and all you can do is warn her. Will you wish to stick around after? What plan does she have for you long term?

Don’t allow her to waste your time or endanger your sexual health.
