Southgate backs Harry to wreak havoc in Tirana
GARETH SOUTHGATE has backed Harry Kane to end his England goal drought and smash Wayne Rooney’s record.
Kane was denied a chance to add to his 32 international goals, as he chases down Rooney’s all-time mark of 53, when he stayed on the bench against San Marino.
But the Tottenham star, who hasn’t scored for his country since November 2019, will be unleashed against Albania tomorrow after sitting out the 5-0 rout.
England boss Southgate said: “I’m not worried about the period of time without a goal. He’s an outstanding finisher.
“We will create enough chances for him to get those goals. Of course, in a
