Thou shalt not be a bed wetter
(And thou shalt not fib to the world either) ARCHBISH BLASTS WOKES ..& ADMITS MILLIONAIRE PUBLICITY-SHY COUPLE WERE TELLING PORKIES
THE Archbishop of Canterbury says wokes should grow a pair as he also revealed a certain US actress may not be fully au fait with the 9th Commandment.
THE Archbishop of Canterbury says cancel culture is a “huge threat” to the Church.
The Most Rev Justin Welby expressed alarm at growing censorship as he defended freedom of expression.
And he poured cold water on a publicity-shy couple’s claim he had married them three days before their royal wedding in May 2018.
We already revealed it would not have been legal as it lacked enough witnesses and a registered venue.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey last month, the bride – a 39-year-old former actress – claimed she and her prince husband wed in their “backyard” in a private ceremony.
The Archbishop told Italian newspaper La Repubblica: “The legal wedding was on the
Saturday. I signed the wedding certificate, which is a legal document, and I would have committed a serious criminal offence if I signed it knowing it was false.”
On “cancel culture”, he warned woke students that “very, very dangerous” trends had emerged in universities where “no-platforming” – axing speakers you don’t agree with – could lead to “cancelling everyone who disagrees”.
The Archbishop said: “Cancel culture is a huge threat to the life of the Church. We need to be able to express truths or to express our views, whether they’re good or bad.
“We can’t erase the past. It is impossible.”
IT must mean something when even God is telling bedwetters to pipe down.
Well, his representative the Archbishop of Canterbury is anyway.
Holy bloke Justin Welby has thrown his proverbial bible at snowflakes stoking cancel culture.
And quite right, too.
The annoyed Archbish is completely correct when he points out this band of miserable moaners are threatening our freedom of speech.
When mollycoddled morons start trying to suppress other people’s views, democracy is in danger.
They absolutely have the right to disagree with them but shutting down debates and demanding immediate retribution only leads to further unrest.
So these numpties should leave the sermons to the vicars and priests. Just give your outrage a bloody rest. Ironically, we imagine his comments will anger those of a sensitive disposition.
But they really should think twice before bashing the bishop!
