The spy who loved Mimi.. MY BOND AMBITION
RISING star Mimi Webb already has her sights set on recording the next James Bond theme tune.
After racking up an impressive 6.6 million views on Tiktok, the Kent-based singer/songwriter is flying high in the charts with new song Good Without.
And that, she hopes, makes her one step closer towards landing a 007 theme song.
Mimi, full name Amelia, told me: “I would love to do the James Bond theme song, I would love to write it and be the artist on it – that would be incredible.
“Two of my idols Sam Smith and Adele have both done it, and I think you can represent Britain and the UK so strongly by doing so.”
And, like Adele, she is already making space on her mantelpiece for her Bond song to win accolades.
She said: “Imagine then getting the Grammy for it, that would be everything.
“At the start of this year I did a whole manifestation of what I wanted to happen this year and loads of it has already kicked off so I am just like, ‘Wow this really works,’ so you never know.”
If Mimi’s positive thinking doesn’t get her to the top then perhaps her mum will, as Mrs Webb has enthusiastically contacted famous people to tell them about her daughter’s talent.
Mimi explained: “Honestly, she has an Instagram account, but I think she thinks she has absolute access to everyone else who has an account.
“Sam Smith is her go-to though, because she knows I love and go on about Sam all the time.”
The success of Good Without has helped Mimi to fully get over the ex who inspired its message.
She said: “Seeing the song do so well helps me move on. It’s therapeutic for me to write down how I feel and have an outlet like that.”
