THEY’VE GONE TOTALLY EMMENTAL

FIRST WOKIES HAD A STERN WORD WITH OUR STATUES & NOW THEY’RE REALLY CROSS WITH OUR DAIRY PRODUCTS..

WE’VE heard some stories in our time but it turns out that Extinction Rebellion crusties claim dairy products are racist.

CRACKERS crusties want to ban cheese – because it is “racist”.

Extinction Rebellion campaigner Alison Plaumer is demanding the amount dished up in schools is cut.

She said: “Arguably there is a racist element to serving dairy too much because 65% of the world’s population are lactose intolerant, many from the BAME – black, Asian and minority ethnic – community.”

Ms Plaumer claimed “loads of parents” backed her and also called for plant-based grub to be served in state schools two days a week.

In her petition to Brighton and Hove City Council, she also demanded more council events go vegan.

Quoting Oxford University professor Michael Clark, the activist said “animal agriculture” could be to blame for “new pandemics” and more “antibacterial resistance”.

The climate change campaigner was ridiculed on social media over her petition, which will be discussed at the council’s Children, Young People and Skills committee on June 14. One user posted: “If people think food is racist then they are not qualified to be near a school.’’

Another said: “I am lactose intolerant and not from the group you name so what point were you making? Food cannot be racist.’’

A further user wrote: “In the not so distant past you’d have been carted off to the local sanatorium for such incoherent ramblings.’’

But the eco-warrior’s claim about lactose intolerance primarily affecting the BAME community is backed up by medics. The condition – which is caused by a decreased ability to digest the sugar found in dairy products – can trigger stomach pain, bloating, diarrhoea and nausea.

Just 5% of people in Britain suffer from it, but in the rest of the world, especially among black and Asiatic communities where cheese and milk are not usually consumed as a regular part of the adult diet, it is widespread.
