Vicious Pog bite for Jose

JOSE GETS A POG BITE

- ■ by JEREMY CROSS

PAUL POGBA has accused former boss Jose Mourinho of turning his back on players and sulking after defeats.

Manchester United star Pogba delivered the scathing verdict on Mourinho following the pair’s troubled time together at Old Trafford.

The duo fell out when Mourinho stripped Pogba of his vice-captaincy following a training ground spat.

Mourinho was sacked three months later, and Pogba says current United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shows much more respect to players.

Pogba said: “What I have now with Ole is different, he would

■ not go against the players. Maybe Ole wouldn’t pick them but it’s not like he puts them on the side like they don’t exist anymore.

“That’s the difference between Mourinho and Ole.

“Once I had a great relationship with Mourinho, everybody saw that, and the next day you don’t know what happened.

“That’s the strange thing I had with Mourinho – I can’t explain as I don’t know.”

Mourinho was involved in a war of words with Solskjaer following United’s 3-1 win at Tottenham last weekend after the Norwegian criticised Heung-min Son’s involvement in Edinson Cavani’s controversial disallowed opening goal.

But Pogba (left, with Solskjaer) has accused the Spurs boss of sulking in a bid to deflect the attention from bad results.

“I’m sure Mourinho said something that would make people speak, that’s what he does,” the Frenchman said to Sky Sports.

“We got the result we wanted, Ole knows it and we enjoyed that moment because we know Mourinho and we know what he likes. We don’t need this (war of words), we just focus on us.

“We won the game, he lost the game and he doesn’t want to speak about the game, he wants to speak about the dad of someone, that’s what he does.

“Everybody knows him, it’s very Mourinho.”
