TOUR BOOSTER

LOOKS like former Little Mix-er Jesy Nelson spent the bank holiday weekend down the hairdressers.

The singer/songwriter took to Instagram to show off her new blonde-streaked waves. The new look comes after Jesy signed a solo deal with Polydor Records.

SCOUTING For Girls will happily revert to childhood when they hit the road again later this year.

The trio have organised juvenile treats after a year without gigs.

Frontman Roy Stride told me: “We are treating this like a two-month holiday, I have never been more excited for a tour in my whole life.

“I have already started planning everything like where I am going to eat before each show in October and November – I’ve booked Pizza Expresses and 10-pin bowling. It will be one big party with a lot of beer.”

And Roy is confident punters will be ready to let loose after 16 months of lockdown: “I reckon this will be the best year ever for live music and festivals. I think everyone will go absolutely mad for it. Well, we are going mad.”

The tour is reward for being stuck in the house all this time. Roy chuckled: “Seriously, I feel like all I f***ing did was the washing up and loading the dishwasher.

“When you go to the dishwasher it’s always bloody clean and I need to empty it.

“This is why I need to get out on tour, because of how much I can talk about dirty plates now!”

And unlike this snap, Roy freshly shorn come the tour.

He said: “I am so happy my hair is cut. My hair is actually in shock now, I put some matte paste in it and it doesn’t know what to do.

“It’s barely been washed, it didn’t get cut for 18 months because I was too lazy.”

Scouting For Girls hit the road in September visiting London, York, Liverpool, Edinburgh and over 40 more venues. will be
