Wilder wants to destroy ‘coward’ Fury
DEONTAY WILDER has vowed to decapitate “coward” Tyson Fury for trying to avoid him.
Fury will face Wilder in their trilogy fight at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on July 24 after he was ordered to defend his WBC heavyweight title against the former champ.
Wilder feels Fury, who stopped him in seven rounds when they last met in February 2020 (pictured, far right), wanted to duck him and has promised to make him pay.
“My mentality is, you have ■ been contemplating about hurting a person so bad, to the point you wanna disfigure him so his mother wouldn’t even know who he was,” said the ‘Bronze Bomber’.
“You wanna decapitate him in every way, like premeditated stuff. There’s nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. You got to go through me.
“I’m the hardest puncher in heavyweight history, and I’m going to continue to do that. I’m ready to get this title back. “We were contractually obligated to have a fight. He gave his word.
“When you do all that – and we have the proof – you’ve got to abide by that.
“You’ve got to handle the business, and you can’t close the chapter without going through Deontay Wilder.” The ruling by the adjudicator scuppered Fury’s planned showdown with Anthony Joshua (inset) on August 14 in Saudi Arabia for the undisputed world heavyweight title.
Wilder claims that unbeaten Fury is a “coward” for trying to dodge him by agreeing to fight Joshua.
“Of course, I look at it as a coward’s way of trying to avoid me,” the American told 78Sportstv.
