PALACE AIDES ARE ‘SET TO BITE BACK’

- By AARON TINNEY news@dailystar.co.uk

THE Queen has declared war on a publicity-shy couple and will no longer let “mistruths” go unchallenged, insiders claim.

They say the monarch has decided to ditch her “never complain, never explain” policy after repeated attacks on the Royal Family.

A palace source warned: “This is about whether or not what is being reported is an accurate version of what actually happened.”

Her Majesty will reportedly allow aides to bite back at statements felt to misrepresent her private conversations and those of senior royals.

The move follows the relentless media interviews given by the ginger bloke, 36, and his former actress wife, 39.

The Queen stayed tight-lipped in March when their bombshell chat with Oprah Winfrey was broadcast worldwide. But Her Maj is reportedly now set to hit back after the wallflower couple started a media dispute over newborn daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-windsor’s name.

The private bloke threatened to sue the BBC over claims he did not ask the Queen’s permission to use her nickname. The couple insist they did consult her first.

Meanwhile the woman’s dad yesterday accused Oprah, 67, of “playing” the pair.

Thomas Markle, 76, said: “I think she is using them to build her network… I think she’s taken advantage of a very weakened man and has got him to say things that you just shouldn’t be saying on television.”

He also renewed pleas to be allowed to see his two grandchildren, who live 70 miles away from him in LA.
