LIAM Payne is set to make his comeback with new music arriving “soon”.
Familiar hitmaker Liam has reunited with his old college pal S-X for his first single release in more than a year.
And the producer told me: “Liam is a good friend of mine and we’ve got stuff coming soon. I don’t want to say too much as you know how those One Direction fans get – when I mention him I can’t even open my Twitter. But we’ve got a song coming and it’s a smash. It’s sooner than you think and that’s all I can say.”
Liam’s return to music comes after he spoke candidly about his past struggles with depression and addiction during his time in the band.
And S-X insisted that nobody could understand what his pal was going through, but he is as genuine as they come.
Real name Sam, he continued: “We’re both from Wolverhampton and I was in college with him at the same time, and going from that to global stardom at 17 is not normal for any person. “To have toured the world, done stadium tours and everything, he is one of the most famous people in the world. So he will go through scrutiny from the media and whatever, but I can tell you he is one of the nicest people, one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. He’s a real good friend of mine.”
Sam has just dropped optimistic banger Feels So Good, which sees him show off his own vocal range for the first time, much to the surprise of his fans.
Speaking about the track, he said: “I sing in falsetto very much but people don’t know and in this song they think it’s a feature or someone else is singing the verses and stuff, but it’s actually me.”
He added: “The music I was making before in lockdown was so serious.
“But I’m in a whole different mind frame – we want to feel good now, we want to be outside. “This is the barbecue anthem.” The perfect song to burn sausages to, then.
