At anti-vaxxers
MORGAN BLAST AFTER DENIER ‘DIES’
PIERS Morgan has urged his fans to get jabbed after sharing tweets from a woman who says her anti-vaxxer dad died from coronavirus.
The former Good Morning Britain host has regularly hit out at conspiracy theorists and those who refuse vaccines.
But the telly motormouth yesterday described the man’s alleged death as a tragedy.
Piers shared the tweets from an account of a US man called Brent H who vowed never to get a jab.
The American also tweeted that he valued zinc and vitamin D supplements over the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
But a later tweet from the same
account read: “This is Brent’s daughter… dad died of COVID.
“He had no underlying conditions and was in his early 50s.
“I know he’s been saying otherwise, but PLEASE save your families this heartache. Go get your shot.”
Piers, 56, then wrote a caption
alongside the screenshots that read: “The tragedy of refusing to take covid & vaccines seriously. Get the jab.”
The move sparked a torrent of abuse from anti-vaxxers.
One wrote: “People have the right to choose what they do and don’t put into their bodies.”
Another wrote: “This is a personal choice. I dig you Piers, but please don’t lecture people like this.”
The presenter – who proudly posed while receiving his jabs – hit back: “So many anti-vaxx loons have replied to this with their usual deluded idiocy.
“Please take your whack-job conspiracy theory nonsense out of my Instagram and out of my headspace. Thank you.”
Three in five adults in the UK have now been double-jabbed.
But many scientists remain cautious amid spiralling Covid cases, with Dr Lance Pinto of India’s Hinduja National Hospital saying: “We are concerned about the Delta plus variant.”
