GARETH SOUTHGATE has ordered England to keep scaling their Everest in a bid to conquer Europe.

The Three Lions head into tonight’s Euros showdown with Ukraine in Rome looking to book a place in the last four. England are on a massive high following their stunning win over old rivals Germany in the last 16. But Southgate has warned his stars they have done nothing yet and is refusing to start dreaming of making the final on home soil at Wembley on July 11. Southgate said: “We have the opportunity to give people special days. We’ve got a great chance to allow people to enjoy the ride. “We’ve achieved one challenge, but that’s

We’ve obviously got a strong squad as well. “We want to enjoy it and we are very focused on where we want to head, but we’re not satisfied with where we’ve got to – and we have to deliver that.

“It’s totally about staying in the present and focusing on this immediate challenge ahead of us. “The mindset has got to be about Saturday. Not beyond Saturday. “There’s not a consideration in our heads beyond Saturday and making sure we’re prepared for this game with Ukraine.” Southgate’s men have the chance to reach third semi-final and become the most

And Southgate has urged his players to go out and create more history.

He said: “This is the next step, the next opportunity, the opportunity to get to a third semi-final for us in the last few years, a second major tournament semi-final.

“You’ve got to go back to Sir Alf’s time to be able to do that.

“It’s another chance for the team to make history.

“We’ve moved on from Germany pretty quickly and it’s not easy because you all get lovely messages.

“And if the lads are reading the papers or watching television, I’m sure there’ll be lots to enjoy for them.

“But the mindset has got to be about Saturday.” (4-3-3)
