RAGING RAMBO
Aaron blasts Juve training
AARON RAMSEY has risked the wrath of his club Juventus after hitting out at the Italian giants.
The midfielder is preparing to skipper Wales in tonight’s World Cup qualifier in the Czech Republic.
And Ramsey insists he is ready to deliver again for his nation after impressing at the Euros.
But he has struggled this term at Serie A side Juve, where he has made only one start back in August and just three substitute appearances since.
The Italian club recently said the star, signed from Arsenal in 2019, has been suffering from “muscle fatigue”.
Ramsey, 30, who has his own personal fitness team, made his frustrations clear after training alone last week.
He said: “The way things have gone is not helping me. I know what I can do and with the right management I can stay fit for a long period and play a lot of games.
“I feel good, given the opportunity and managed correctly. It has been frustrating.
“I would like to see myself playing more. But I am looking forward to this week and we will deal with everything else afterwards.”
Since moving to
Turin, Ramsey has started only 25 league games. Yet he remains one of Wales’ best players, as he underlined at the Euros as they reached the last 16.
He added: “The training philosophy and methods are different in my club from here. There are a lot of people here who have a number of years of managing me.
“They know how to get the best out of me and allow me to play a lot of games in a row, like I showed in the Euros. I’m capable of doing that and producing good performances.
“Because my outputs in games are pretty high, maybe I need a bit more rest and recovery throughout the week, rather than maybe being on the grass for a long period of time.”
Wales boss Rob Page has chosen Ramsey to lead the side in Gareth Bale’s absence for tonight’s crunch World Cup qualifier in Prague as they chase second place in Group E.
Page said: “He is one of the senior players and is ready for that responsibility.”
